The Importance of National STEM Day

This quote from President John F. Kennedy perfectly captures why National STEM Day is such an exciting time for us at Excel Dryer. Each year on November 8th, this observance emphasizes the values offered by science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), making it the perfect time to stress the importance of young Americans pursuing careers in these fields.
Just a few decades ago, studies indicated that the United States was not achieving in STEM disciplines at the rate of other top countries around the globe. Unfortunately, there are still not enough young Americans currently pursuing these jobs; since 2000, the number of STEM related degrees has remained relatively flat, while the number of available jobs has continued to increase. Here at Excel Dryer, our support for National STEM Day is twofold: creating excitement through the revolutionary work of our engineering team and supporting our commitment to the future of the American workforce.
