The LOOP Design Awards: Honoring Excellence in Design And Architectural Bathroom Trends
The Loop Design Awards celebrate innovation across architecture, interior design, and product development. Receiving a Loop Design Award is a testament to a product’s influence on design trends and its contribution to a more sustainable, forward-thinking industry.
The LOOP Design Awards have several different categories that a product or project can get recognized in. Our sustainable office transformation by Fennick McCredie Architecture was recognized in the Interior Renovations category for setting a new benchmark in biophilic and modern design. The other category that we faired well in was the Bathroom & Wellness Design category. Our hygienic, custom hand dryers with AFH were honored here as they feature the perfect blend of art and functionality. Additionally, this was the category where the D|VERSE Integrated Sink System featuring our XLERATORsync Hand Dryer received a citation award. This product was recognized for its groundbreaking approach to restroom hygiene and efficiency.
These wins reinforce our commitment to modern restroom technology that integrates sustainability, hygiene, and style.
Excel Dryer’s Office Renovation: A Model of Award-Winning Design
Our award-winning office renovation represents a new standard in sustainable commercial restrooms and workplace transformation. This project exemplifies how modern restroom technology and sustainable design can enhance the work environment.
The renovation focused on sustainability, biophilic design, and hygienic restroom solutions. Fennick McCredie Architecture installed carpeting from Interface that recycled fishing nets from the world’s poorest coastal communities. As part of our dedication to biophilic design, we have a living plant wall along with a Willow Glass Wall depicting a waterfall to make employees feel connected to nature. We focused on employee well-being with every product installed from ergonomic furniture to standing desks. Additionally, our sustainable commercial restrooms feature the D|VERSE Sink System featuring our XLERATORsync Hand Dryer which provide employees and guests with the highest level of hygiene to make them feel save at the office.
This project serves as a benchmark for architectural bathroom trends, demonstrating that commercial spaces can be both visually striking and environmentally responsible.
Artists For Humanity & Excel Dryer: A Fusion of Art & Sustainable Commercial Restrooms
Our partnership with Artists For Humanity goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about making a meaningful impact. Nine talented teen artists from Boston-based AFH created one-of-a-kind, custom XLERATOR Hand Dryer Covers, transforming traditional commercial restroom fixtures into bold artistic statements.
But it’s not just about looks. These hygienic, custom hand dryers also promote sustainable commercial restrooms by eliminating the need for paper towels, reducing waste, and lowering energy consumption.
Our dedication to eco-friendly hand dryers aligns with the work of Drew Shula, the founder of the prominent sustainability consultant firm, The Verdical Group. His firm is renowned for their expertise in decarbonizing the built environment. He recently posted a reel that highlighted the environmental benefits of our XLERATOR Hand Dryers. This reel emphasizes how touchless hand drying solutions are part of architectural bathroom trends by contributing to greener buildings by reducing carbon footprints and supporting sustainable business practices.
D|VERSE: The Most Hygienic Integrated Restroom Solution
Another highlight of this year’s Loop Design Awards was the D|VERSE Integrated Sink System from D|13 Group receiving a citation award. This award-winning design features our XLERATORsync Hand Dryer, creating a sleek, all-in-one solution that enhances both hygiene and efficiency.
By combining washing, rinsing, and drying in a single basin, the system prevents water from reaching the floor, improving restroom safety by reducing the change of slip and falls. Additionally, this system offers the highest level of hygiene for users. The XLERATORsync Hand Dryer comes standard with Electrostatic HEPA (eHEPA®) Filtration which is proven to remove 99.999% of viruses and 99.97% of bacteria from the airstream. The integration of touchless hand drying solutions eliminates paper towel waste and minimizes contact points, addressing modern health concerns. Plus, with the addition of an eco-friendly hand dryer, this award-winning design aligns with the latest sustainable commercial restroom trends.
As architectural bathroom trends continue to evolve, solutions like D|VERSE prove that high-efficiency fixtures can enhance both aesthetics and performance.
