The maker of the XLERATOR® high speed energy efficient hand dryer contributed content to the program. Episodes to air worldwide beginning this week.

East Longmeadow, Mass. – December 15th through December 21st, viewers of Discovery Health, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, Family Net, and CNN Headline News, as well as public television affiliate viewers across the country, will be educated about an appliance they should recognize from public restrooms around the world. Excel Dryer, East Longmeadow-based creator of the popular XLERATOR hand dryer, contributed content to the National Environmental Report program hosted by Hugh Downs. Among the green products to be discussed on the program is the high-speed, energy-efficient hand dryer which has become The New Industry standard because of its three times faster dry time of 10 seconds and user satisfaction in the marketplace.

“It is exciting to be a part of a national broadcasting effort that focuses closely on the technologies that help reduce your carbon footprint,” said Bill Gagnon, Excel Dryer’s Director of Marketing. “As professionals devoted to ‘greening’ facilities around the world, we deeply respect the goals of National Environmental Report, and we enjoyed being a part of the show.”

The national spot is scheduled to air during Prime Time (6:00 pm-11:45 pm) via MSNBC, CNBC, Discovery Health or equivalent networks. As with all national broadcasts, times and dates are subject to change. Regional broadcasts will also take place in the top 200 DMAs during Peak (7:00 am-11:45 pm) and Prime time on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, Family Net, and CNN Headline News between December 15 and December 21st, 2008. Additionally, the story will be distributed to the Public Television affiliates and Voice of America/World Net, and is scheduled to air during the week of December 15th.

Seven years after its official launch, the XLERATOR hand dryer has established itself as the new industry standard by which other dryers are measured. The XLERATOR completely dries hands in 10 seconds, versus conventional dryers that take 30 to 45 seconds or longer. XLERATOR completes the job three times faster and uses 80% less energy than traditional hand dryers, while delivering a 95% cost savings vs. paper towels and creating a more hygienic restroom environment. The XLERATOR is the only hand dryer to be MADE IN USA Certified, the first hand dryer to achieve GreenSpec® listing and also helps facilities qualify for LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits by the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition to meeting the demands of today’s ‘green’ initiatives, XLERATOR dryers can help facility managers save thousands annually by eliminating the costs of paper towel dispensers and their maintenance.
