National Environmental Report Series taps Excel Dryer to showcase its green hand dryers

Makers of the XLERATOR® high speed, energy efficient hand dryer contributed content to the program, which will be featured prime time on CNBC this weekend

East Longmeadow, Mass. - Going green isn't going away. And this weekend on CNBC, East Longmeadow-based Excel Dryer, Inc., creator of the popular XLERATOR hand dryer, will be featured on National Environmental Report Series, a program hosted by Hugh Downs. The show is scheduled to air after 6:00 p.m. on the popular business news channel. Among the green products to be discussed is the company's high-speed, energy-efficient hand dryer, which has become The New Industry Standard because of its three times faster dry time of 10-15 seconds and user satisfaction in the marketplace.

The objective of National Environmental Report Series is to inform and educate the environmental community and the consumer about the products, services and issues that most affect them. "It is exciting to be a part of a national broadcasting effort that focuses closely on the technologies that help reduce your carbon footprint," said William Gagnon, Excel Dryer's Director of Marketing. "As professionals devoted to 'greening' facilities around the world, we deeply respect the goals of National Environmental Report, and we enjoyed being a part of the program."

Currently, XLERATOR is installed in a variety of busy, high traffic restrooms, in well- known national outfits such as Target and Dunkin Donuts along with high-profile destinations like Disney World and the new Wembley Stadium.

The company has also developed a strong online presence thanks to customers who, amazed by the dryer's speed and power, have posted photos, videos and blogs about their experience using the hand dryer.

Seven years after its official launch, the XLERATOR hand dryer has established itself as the new industry standard by which other dryers are measured. The XLERATOR completely dries hands in 10 to 15 seconds, versus conventional dryers that take 30 to 45 seconds or longer. XLERATOR completes the job three times faster and uses 80% less energy than traditional hand dryers, while delivering a 95% cost savings vs. paper towels and creating a more hygienic restroom environment. The XLERATOR is the only hand dryer to be MADE IN USA Certified, the first hand dryer to achieve GreenSpec® listing and also helps facilities qualify for LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credits by the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition to meeting the demands of today's 'green' initiatives, XLERATOR dryers can help facility managers save thousands annually by eliminating the costs of paper towel dispensers and their maintenance.
