When using high-speed hand dryers, excess water can be blown off the hands by airflow. This water can end up on the walls and/or floor of the restroom. Some hand dryer manufacturers have tried to address the water issue by creating trough-style hand dryers. However, trough-style dryers’ tendency to collect excess water and waste has proven them to be a breeding ground for bacteria, as well as being difficult to clean and maintain.
